Believing oneself to be dead or an animal, not recognising the faces of others or seeing them transformed into monsters, believing that someone close to us has been replaced by an impostor or that people around us are really one and the same, thinking that one of our limbs is not really ours… The disorders of the human mind can be so bizarre that they reveal to us the extent to which our brains can deny reality and make us believe in the most incredible things.
