Peter Hirshberg has led emerging media and technology companies for more than 25 years. As Chairman of Re: Imagine Group, he shapes strategies at the confluence of people, places, brands, and cities. He has worked with executive teams at Time Warner, Sony, Unilever, IBM, Telefónica, and many others on digital and growth strategies. He is Chairman of San Francisco’s Gray Area Foundation for the Arts, where he has developed initiatives such as San Francisco’s Summer of Smart with 16 mayoral candidates and Urban Prototyping in Singapore, London, San Francisco, Geneva, and Zurich. As an advisor to United Nations Global Pulse, he’s addressed the General Assembly on real-time data for international development and is editor of “Taking the Global Pulse.” He was founder and CEO of Elemental Software, served as President and CEO of Gloss.com, and is former Chairman of Technorati. He headed Enterprise Marketing at Apple Computer for nine years, and is a Senior Fellow at the USC Annenberg Center on Communication Leadership and a Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. He is a frequent technology and media industry speaker, having presented at TED and the World Economic Forum, among many others. He earned his bachelor’s degree at Dartmouth College and his MBA at the Wharton School.
