Director of Future Studies

Technologist and humanist. Director and founding partner of the Futures Literacy consultancy TheFuturesFactory.com. Professor of the postgraduate course of Future Studies: Science, Philosophy and Fiction at the Spanish Distance Education University (UNED). A regular contributor to the innovation consultancy Valhalla, she also writes for Filosofía&co and has taught courses at ESADE Business School.

Holding a degree in Philosophy, she has worked for 30 years as a Consultant in Technology for companies such as ATOS and COMPUWARE and FATWIRE SW, alongside her international experience in the IT departments of the International Criminal Court and the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons in The Hague.  In her last position as Director of Innovation at the multinational Oracle, she implemented Design Thinking methodologies in numerous innovation projects with large IBEX35 clients associated with the new technologies with the greatest potential impact including Blockchain, Behavioural Economics, NLP/NLG and Virtual Reality.

An activist for the future, she currently helps companies and organizations to combine technology with futures studies and design to build a strategy that builds their best future. Passionate about predictive narratives, she has written several Science Fiction books and numerous collaborations in magazines, emphasizing her interest in Digital Culture, a field in which she advises different educational institutions and organizations in cultural digitization projects.
