Joanne B. Ciulla is Professor of Leadership Ethics and Director of the Institute for Ethical Leadership at Rutgers University Business School. She was one of the founding faculty of the Jepson School of Leadership Studies (University of Richmond) and has also had academic appointments at LaSalle University, Harvard Business School, and The Wharton School; and was the UNESCO Chair in Leadership Studies at the United Nations International Leadership Academy. Her BA, MA, and PhD are in Philosophy. Prof. Ciulla has written extensively on ethics in leadership and business and is internationally known for establishing the field of leadership ethics. Ciulla is the recipient of Lifetime Achievement Awards for her scholarship from the International Leadership Association, the Society for Business Ethics, and the Network of Leadership at the Academy of Management. She has served as president of both the International Society for Business, Economics, and Ethics and The Society for Business Ethics.
