Beginning with Urania, the daughter of Zeus and muse of astronomy in classical Greece, the history of the study of the firmament has been replete with female figures who have illuminated our vision of space with their achievements and discoveries. Sadly, many of them have remained in the shadows, overshadowed by a male figure or directly sidelined from their work. However, others have managed to leave their mark on the history of science and are considered pioneers in areas such as the study of comets and eclipses, gravitation or the observation of exoplanets.
